These pines took the full force of the south-westerly gales, and the owners were worried about them coming down on the house.
What we did
We reduced the height and spread of both crowns and thinned out crossing branches, so the wind could pass through instead of pushing the whole tree. Every cut went back to a healthy side branch.
The result
Both trees look natural, keep their character on the skyline, and are far less likely to fail in a storm. We have booked a check-up for three years’ time.
